Gua Sha Facial Add On
Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves using a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape the skin. It is performed by applying oil or a lubricant to the face, and then using a tool, typically made of jade or rose quartz, to scrape the skin in upward strokes along specific meridian points.
Gua Sha helps improve circulation, lymphatic drainage, and stimulates collagen production. It can address various skin concerns such as facial tension, puffiness, dull complexion, and fine lines. The scraping action helps release muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and promote a more radiant and toned appearance.
Gua Sha has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and has been practiced for thousands of years. The term “Gua Sha” translates to “scraping sand” and refers to the technique of scraping the skin to release stagnation and promote healing. In TCM, it is believed that illness and pain result from blocked Qi (energy) and blood stagnation. Gua Sha is used to stimulate circulation, remove toxins, and restore the body’s balance. While traditionally practiced on the body, the technique has been adapted for facial rejuvenation in recent years.
Facial Cupping Facial Add On
Facial cupping is a technique that utilizes small suction cups to create a vacuum effect on the skin. These cups are moved across the face, creating a gentle pulling sensation. Facial cupping helps improve blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, and stimulates collagen production. It can address skin concerns such as puffiness, congestion, and uneven texture. The suction action helps lift and tone the skin, reduce puffiness, and enhance product absorption.
Cupping also enhances circulation and releases tension.
Cupping therapy is an ancient practice with origins in various cultures, including ancient Egypt, China, and the Middle East that has recently been adapted to specifically targets the facial skin with facial rejuvenation techniques. Facial cupping is now very popular in in the modern wellness and skincare industry for its ability to improve blood flow, stimulate collagen production, and provide a non-invasive lift and sculpting effect.
Dermaplaning Facial Add On
Dermaplaning involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells and fine facial hair (vellus hair). The procedure is done on clean, dry skin and results in a smoother, brighter complexion. Dermaplaning can address concerns such as rough texture, dullness, and fine facial hair. By exfoliating the outermost layer of skin, it improves the absorption of skincare products, enhances the skin’s radiance, and allows for a more flawless makeup application.
Dermaplaning also has its roots in ancient beauty practices. Historically, women in ancient civilizations, such as ancient Egypt and ancient Rome, used similar methods to remove unwanted facial hair and achieve smoother skin. In modern times, dermaplaning has become increasingly popular as an effective method for exfoliating the skin and removing vellus hair, providing a smoother and brighter complexion.
Jelly Mask Facial Add On
Our jelly masks contain professional grade skincare products in a face mask that has a gel-like consistency. They contain hydrating and nourishing ingredients, including aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, botanical extracts, and other ingredients that are customized for each patient’s unique needs.
Jelly masks provide intense hydration, soothe the skin, and deliver a boost of nutrients. They can help improve dryness, dullness, and provide a refreshing and rejuvenating effect. Additionally, some jelly masks may offer additional benefits such as brightening, firming, or calming the skin, depending on the specific ingredients used in the mask.
The use of masks for skincare also dates back centuries across different cultures. In ancient times, people used natural ingredients such as clays, herbs, and fruits to create facial masks for various purposes. Today, advancements in cosmetic science have led to the development of mask and formulations that provides a cooling, refreshing, and deeply hydrating experience for the skin.
