Why is Renuva considered a 100% natural filler?

Juvéderm and most other facial fillers are synthetic compounds that are made in a laboratory to mimic substances found in the human body. But Renuva uses fat cells that come from human donors, rather than synthetic or chemical products. This fat transfer process is called an “allograft”. The donor fat is tested, screened and sterilized – in accordance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s requirements for donor tissue for complete safety.

Once transplanted into your body, the donated Renuva® fat cells form a type of cellular “matrix” or scaffolding. Your body then builds and regenerates its own fat tissue around the Renuva, for improved skin tone, texture, volume, and appearance!

What is Renuva® used for?

Renuva® is an excellent treatment for men and women who want to achieve a more youthful appearance almost anywhere on their body – from the face to hands, arms, thighs and abdomen.

What are the benefits of Renuva over fat grafted from my own body?

Although plastic surgery procedures can improve skin appearance and reduce or reverse the effects of aging, Renuva offers a simpler, in-office, non-surgical solution.

Fat grafts taken from your own body require anesthetic and incisions – both of which come with certain risks and discomfort. Because there is no incision with Renuva there is virtually no “downtime” – and very little risk of complications such as infection.

What are the benefits of Renuva over synthetic fillers?

To begin with, because Renuva is comprised of actual donor body fat cells, your injected areas will look and feel just like natural tissue – because it is natural tissue!

Additionally, the “matrix” of Renuva that we discussed earlier contains biological stimulating factors, including growth factors, cytokine and peptide. So the Renuva not only helps fill the targeted area to smooth wrinkles and create volume, it also stimulates the body’s natural fat growth in the targeted areas where it is needed.

However, the biggest advantage to Renuva is its longevity. Unlike synthetic facial fillers, which last a few months to two years, Renuva allografting injections deliver results that last an astounding 5 to 10 years.

What are the risks and side effects of Renuva?

Because Renuva injectable treatments are natural and non-surgical, side effects are extremely rare and tend to be minor when administered by a trained and experienced board certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Ali.

Minor possible side effects of Renuva® are the same as you would experience with any “shot” – including discomfort and/or some redness or swelling in the area that rapidly goes away.

When will I see Renuva results and how long will they last?

Renuva® injections, are popular because results can be seen immediately. Once the fat is injected into your body, your skin will look fuller and feel firmer right away.

The skin’s texture and appearance will further continue to improve over the next few weeks, as your body “builds” its own new fat cells around the Renuva matrix. It can take up to three months to see the final, complete results.

Because Renuva builds a structural matrix – and then stimulates the body to build its own cells around the Matrix – the results you see from Renuva should be long lasting. Often there is no need to ever follow up or refill the area – as there is with synthetic fillers that get absorbed by the body.
