We are among the few medical spas in the entire Detroit area to offer this latest technology in PRP Platelet Rich Plasma skin care.  This exciting and somewhat mysterious sounding procedure is often times called the “Vampire Facial” in reference to the use of the patient’s own blood in the process – but we prefer the correct medical term of “Platelet Rich Plasma” or “PRP” facial.

How PRP “Platelet Rich Plasma” Facials Work

The process begins with a routine type of blood draw from the patient’s arm.  From there, a centrifuge is used to isolate the platelets which contain the body’s natural “growth factors”. Spinning the blood isolates this growth factor to up to 8 times that found in blood.

The growth factor rich PRP is then injected into the skin, either via syringe or microneedling, which stimulates the skin’s natural ability to replenish its cells.

The result is an increase in the skin’s collagen and elastin, for younger and more radiant skin, eliminating wrinkles and lines and overall improving tightness, tone, “plumpness” and elasticity.
