What is Thermismooth®?

ThermiSmooth® utilizes a unique hand piece to gently heat the surface of the skin, causing an increase in the body’s own collagen production.

This results in a dramatic improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, as well as skin tightening. Because it is non-surgical and non-invasive, there is no pain and no downtime.

How is TheriSmooth Performed?

During your ThermiSmooth® treatment at our Birmingham Med Spa, a small amount of gel is applied to the skin’s surface. The ThermiSmooth® hand-piece is then gently moved over the skin in a circular motion, resulting in gradual heating of the skin.

The sophisticated ThermiSmooth system’s computer adjusts the heat, to ensure precision and safety. After a small zone is treated for a few minutes, the aesthetician moves on to another small section of the face or body.

How does Thermismooth® Work?

ThermiSmooth® uses advanced radio frequency based technologies to heat the skin’s surface to precise temperatures.

This controlled, non-invasive, tissue heating tightens the skin and increases the body’s own collagen production over time.

Who is a Good Thermismooth® Candidate?

The best candidates for ThermiSmooth® treatment are generally those with fine lines and wrinkles, and/or mild skin laxity.

Areas commonly treated with Thermismooth® include crows’ feet and perioral (mouth) lines, as well as anywhere on the body or face that there is fine lines or mild laxity (looseness) of the skin. In fact, the skin healing possibilities of Thermismooth® are almost endless!

Because there are no side effects, Thermismooth® can safely be performed on adult men or women of any age. However, Thermismooth radiofrequency should not be used on patients who are pregnant, or have electronic devices in the body, or who have fever or skin infection in or around the area of application.

What is the Thermismooth® Recovery Time?

Following treatment with ThermiSmooth® there is no recovery time. The treated area may be slightly pinkish – but only for a short period of time.

Patients can return to their regular daily activities – including work or exercise – immediately.
