What to Expect at a ThermiSmooth Appointment

ThermiSmooth™ is the latest non-surgical, non-invasive technology for improving the appearance of aging skin, almost anywhere on the body.

As the Birmingham area experts on Thermismooth, we explain what to expect during your Thermismooth appointment.

How long is a ThermiSmooth™ appointment?

A typical ThermiSmooth™ appointment lasts about 45 minutes. The treatments typically take approximately 30 minutes in total:  8-10 minutes per eye, and 10-20 minutes around the mouth.

Dr. Ali or Medical Aesthetician Our Aestheticians will also want to spend time discussing your desired outcomes, as well as explaining what results you should expect in the days and weeks following treatment.

Who will perform my ThermiSmooth™ anti-aging treatment?

ThermiSmooth™ anti-aging treatments should always be performed by licensed and ThermiSmooth-trained medical professionals.

In our Birmingham Mi Medical Spa, Medical Aesthetician Our Aestheticians will perform your ThermiSmooth™ anti-aging treatment under the supervision of double board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ali.

Does ThermiSmooth™ hurt?

The ThermiSmooth™ anti-aging treatment feels warm, and many patients even find it relaxing. ThermiSmooth uses a unique radio-frequency wavelength to eliminate the friction that can cause discomfort.

A special soothing cream will also be applied to the whole area, to allow the electrode to smoothly pass over the treatment areas.

Most patients say it feels like a warm massage!

What Happens During the ThermiSmooth™ Appointment?

Prior to your ThermiSmooth™ treatment, you need to remove all jewelry. Our medical staff will then remove any lotion or makeup from your treatment area. A thin layer of gel will then be applied to the treatment area(s) to sanitize and prepare the skin.

No anesthetic or numbing aid needs to be used prior to or during the treatment.

The ThermiSmooth® treatment is performed using a temperature-controlled hand piece that will be gradually heated from 35°C up to 42°C. Cream is applied and the hand piece is moved around in a slow circular motion.

During the treatment you will feel warmth, and our medical staff will ask you for ongoing about your comfort.
