Can SkinStylus® Microneedling be used on all skin types and tones?

The SkinStylus® Microtherapy System is versatile and can be used on all skin types and tones – and even after moderate sun exposure. Other processes such as IPL, chemical peels and laser skin treatments have specific requirements and preparations prior to the treatment to avoid burning, hypopigmentation, and hyperpigmentation.

What ingredients are used in SkinStylus Microneedling system products?

EstheCeuticals® microtherapy products are used with the SkinStylus® Microtherapy System. These carefully combined products contain antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-aging nutrients. Included in these formulas are vitamin C and D, copper peptide, retinol, ferulic acid, alpha-lipoic acid and native hyaluronic acid – to create powerful results.

Additionally, Troy, MI area AMAE Med Spa now also offers PRP “Platelet Rich Plasma” treatments (sometimes called the “vampire facial”) in conjunction with SkinStylus Microneedling, for the ultimate in natural skin rejuvenation and anti-aging.

Why is SkinStylus® Microneedling better than microrollers?

The design and manual delivery process of microrollers creates a treatment where skin may experience tears during the procedure. Micro tears in the skin are created as microneedles on the rollers penetrate the skin while the roller rotates. Instead of creating clean, straight microchannels, the tearing from the cylindrical microneedle roller design causes side effects of bruising, bleeding and discomfort after the treatment.

Additionally, the needle depth on microrollers are not adjustable, so different microrollers must be used during the process to achieve the correct depth. And, the large design of the roller makes it almost impossible to be properly guided around sensitive areas like the nose, upper lip and close to the eye.

The SkinStylus® Microtherapy System uses an innovative, high tech design. An automatic microtherapy stylus uses a vertical motion to create preset depth microchannels to help serums penetrate into the skin. This design penetrates more deeply and cleanly – and removes the risk and discomfort of micro tears caused by the microroller design.

Is the SkinStylus® Microneedling Device FDA Approved?

The SkinStylus® Microtherapy Device is a Class 1 cleared device, registered with the FDA under 21 CFR 878.4820.  Devices under this section are intended for skin resurfacing, acne scar revision, tattoo removal and scar revision.

Can SkinStylus® Microneedling be combined with other procedures?

The recovery process for SkinStylus® Microtherapy System is much faster than other skin treatments. Depending on the doctor’s recommendation, other treatments such as chemical peels, IPL and fractional laser therapy can be done in between SkinStylus® Microneedling treatments.
