What Is Baby Botox?

The term “baby botox” is trending on social media. Fortunately it has nothing to do with administering Botox to small children!

“Baby Botox” gets its name because it is a smaller or “baby” injection of Botox – yielding more subtle results. However, it is also popular with new moms – for a more refreshed appearance during those exhausting first months after a baby’s birth. Kate Middleton May Have Gotten Baby Botox

On reason “baby botox” is trending on social media is because there is evidence to suggest that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, may have undergone Baby Botox. In an Instagram post from Dr. Munir Somji ( a plastic surgeon in the UK) that has subsequently been deleted, a side-by-side, “before and after” pair of photos of Kate Middleton were accompanied by the caption “Our Kate loves a bit of baby Botox.”

The “after” photo depicted a noticeable reduction of fine lines on the forehead, as well as elevation to the lateral tail of the brow, all telltale signs of Baby Botox injections.

Since it is the policy of the British Royal Family not to endorse any kind of commercial activity, a spokesman of Kensington Palace released a statement almost immediately after the post, claiming it was “categorically not true” that Duchess Kate had undergone Baby Botox. But the comparison photos do seem to say otherwise!

Baby Botox Use Lower Volume Injections

What makes “Baby Botox” unique is its ability to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles with lower volumes of Botox than traditional facial injections. For example, where a treatment area using traditional Botox may require 25 units, with Baby Botox, only 10 may be required.
