There should be no downtime after a Dermaplaning Facial. In fact, m any of our clients have the facial on their lunch hour (it takes about 40 minutes) and go right back to work afterwards. In some cases there may be some light redness to the skin – but not always

Do I care for my skin differently after a Dermaplaning Facial?

You should always wear sun protection every day, anyway – but after a Dermaplaning Facial your skin is especially susceptible to sunburn and/or sun damage. It is essential to avoid tanning and be very diligent with SPF after a Dermaplaning Facial. If you plan on tanning or you aren’t willing to take sun protection seriously, a Dermaplaning Facial is not right for you.

The “exterior” results of a Dermaplaning Facial can last up to four weeks. The dermaplaning removes approximately three weeks of dead skin cells, so your facial “glow” will last at least a month. Since your skin is always growing, dying and replacing itself, you’ll need to schedule regular appointments to maintain your results.
