Take Our Quiz & See if CoolSculpting is Right for You!
Do you have stubborn areas of body fat that just won’t go away – even with diet and exercise? It’s not your fault! Fat placement on our bodies is largely determine by heredity. And once these annoying fat cells are in place, they cannot be eliminated by diet or exercise.
The good news is that non-surgical, non-invasive CoolSculpting CAN permanently remove these areas of unwanted fat! Up to 25% of fat cells in a treatment area can be eliminated with CoolSculpting!
We have helped hundreds of patients in Birmingham, West Bloomfield and across Oakland County get the trim, toned body they’ve always wanted with CoolSculpting.
Is CoolSculpting right for you? Take our fun quiz to learn if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting!
Click on each answer to learn more about CoolSculpting!
1. Are You 18 or Older? . . . ❑Yes. . . ❑No
If you are over 18 CoolSculpting may be right for you!
CoolSculpting is only appropriate for individuals whose body has finished growing and developing. So, CoolSculpting is generally only appropriate for people age 18 or older.*
And remember, there is no upper age limit for CoolSculpting! Since CoolSculpting is non-invasive, we have satisfied clients their 70s who have enjoyed the fat loss benefits of CoolSculpting. The only requirement is that you be in good health and have the “all clear” from your physician!
*Patients must also be 18 years old to legally consent to medical procedures, including CoolSculpting, on their own. In those rare cases where someone under 18 is indeed eligible for CoolSculpting, parental consent needs to be provided.
2. Do you have bulges or specific areas of stubborn fat that just won’t go away? . . . ❑Yes . . . ❑No
If you have stubborn fat pockets in your belly, thighs, love handles, arms, bra area or even your double chin, CoolSculpting may be right for you!
CoolSculpting “targets” specific areas of the body where stubborn pockets of fat accumulate. So, while CoolSculpting is not a weight loss tool for people who are obese, it does “freezes off” pockets of fat in specific areas.
CoolSculpting does not remove fat from the calves or ankles – but it is highly effective on almost every other area of the body.
3. Have you tried diets or exercise and are still not happy with certain areas of your body? . . . ❑Yes . . . ❑No
CoolSculpting removes “hereditary” fat cells that diet and exercise cannot get rid of.
Where fat is placed on your body is largely determined by your “DNA”. And once these hereditary fat cells are in place (usually by our teen years) they stay there permanently. They can get larger or smaller as you gain or lose weight – but the only way to permanently remove them is via procedures such as CoolSculpting or Liposuction.
Exercise and dieting can help you lose weight – but it will never remove the actual number of fat cells you have. However, CoolSculpting freezes and kills the fat cells – actually reducing the number of fat cells in targeted areas by up to 25% with each treatment!
4. Are you within 30 to 40 pounds of your ideal body weight? . . . ❑Yes . . . ❑No
CoolSculpting is recommended for people within 30 pounds of their ideal body weight.
You will lose inches – and even pounds – with CoolSculpting, but it is not a weight loss treatment, per se. So CoolSculpting is not an appropriate treatment for people who are excessively overweight or obese.
If you are within 30 or 40 pounds of your target body weight, call us to schedule CoolSculpting today!
And, if you are more than 30 or 40 pounds overweight Dr. Ali can discuss other weight loss procedures that might benefit you. Considering CoolSculpting is also great motivation for some patients to lose the excess weight first – and then have CoolSculpting to get rid of the remaining stubborn fat.
5. Do you want to Lose Weight in one of these areas: belly or abdomen; flanks, "love handles," or "muffin top”; buttocks or hips; back or bra area; arms; thighs; neck or "double chin"? . . . ❑Yes . . . ❑No
CoolSculpting is the only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment for fat pockets in the thighs, abdomen (belly fat), flanks (love handles), back (bra rolls), underneath the buttocks, upper arms and the neck / double chin.
If you have stubborn fat in one or more of these areas, CoolSculpting may be right for you!
Note that CoolSculpting is not recommended for removal of breast tissue in men and women. However, Dr. Ali can offer other alternatives for these areas. CoolSculpting is also not recommended for calves and ankles – but Dr. Ali can discuss liposuction with you for the calves and ankles instead.
6. Can you wait 2 weeks to see results? . . . ❑Yes . . . ❑No
While there is absolutely no “downtime” after CoolSculpting, it does take a few weeks to begin seeing results. Can you wait a couple weeks for initial results and 6 weeks for more dramatic results?
The frozen fat cells are killed immediately during CoolSculpting – but they are then naturally eliminated by the body, which takes a little time.
After 2 weeks you will begin to see a difference. The most dramatic fat loss should be see around two months – which is still much faster than almost any diet or exercise program! And your fat loss results will continue to improve for up to 5 or 6 more months.
If you answered “Yes” to each of these questions, congratulations!
This means that you are probably a very good candidate for CoolSculpting!
So what are you waiting for? Call us today and get rid of stubborn fat without surgery, diet or exercise!
